For many moons, the Wandering Men, authors of the critically acclaimed fantasy novel, Skein of Shadows, have secreted themselves away in their mountain fortress, toiling away endless hours on a game so new, so revolutionary, so amazing that it promises to rock gaming as we know it to its very foundations! In fact, the game is so ground-breaking that it currently exists in the public eye only under the code name of "Project Epic". However, for the first time outside of our closed-door, international Alpha and Beta Playtest groups, the Wandering Men themselves are demoing this new game this year at Birmingham's newest convention: Imagicon.

If you want to play the same-old, tired RPGs, this Demo is NOT for you. However, if you want to play something new, fresh, exciting and utterly mind-blowing, this is where you wanna be! We invite you to join us for our Project Epic Demos! Men: the Wandering Cards - Set IV!
Written by Brannon
Thursday, 15 May 2008 00:00

Set IV of our Men: the Wandering cards is here! BEFORE THE CON, EVEN!!

SET IV is our "Ookan" Series, complete with an awesome "Eastern Flair", with stunning art by none other than Tom Babbey! Check out his website here: http://www.tombabbey.com; Tom is an ol' pal of the Wandering Men and he's always open for commissions! Wink Tom did such an amazing job on the art for these cards that we simply could do nothing other than to fully highlight his stunning work, so as you will see below, we've turned our cards "on their ear"! The Ookan card fronts proudly display the art in a landscape format, so you can enjoy it all!

We hope you can drop by Mobicon this weekend (in Mobile, Alabama) and pick up a few of these awesome Ookan cards - or, if you pick up a copy of Skein of Shadows from the Wandering Men, you just might find some inside your copy of the novel that's been called the "...sleeper hit of the year... "Enjoy and let us know what you think by commenting below, dropping a line in our forums, or tagging us with some of the social bookmarking tags at the bottom of the page!

Stirring Shadows

For Omegacon '08, the Wandering Men joined forces with comic artist Chris Fason to create a graphic prequel, if you will, to our novel, Skein of Shadows. Previously, this comic has only been available to those convention goers (and recently to our first friends on our new Wandering Men Facebook account); but now we want to make it free for all!

Transmog Avatars
Written by Brannon
Thursday, 21 February 2008 07:37
Image In response to popular demand, the Wandering Men are now making their "Transmog" artwork available for avatars! That's right, now you can grace forums the world over with the wildly popular "Transmog" version of your favorite hero from Skein of Shadows! This artwork appeared on our exclusive Men: the Wandering collectors cards for Chattacon and were a HUGE HIT!

Show the world that you're an "Arastin fan"; that you're an anchor-toting member of the "Gritgut Chaos Club"; or you could even declare to all that you are a true "Fiend Fighter"! Whichever hero is your favorite, snag his (or all) of the artwork below; just a little present from the Wandering Men!

Thanks again to Gabriel Lee for the awesome artwork!
