Nathan has lived in 6 states, traveled to 13 others, and visited 4 countries. He takes his Wandering seriously.

Currently living in Alabama, the hobbyist writer-errant has enjoyed writing ever since high school, but he followed the path of the dollar and got his degree in engineering. All of his writing since college had been just for fun - he loves creativity and flowing with new ideas, and writing allowed him to explore what his sleep deprived mind created. He only recently - since 2006 - considered writing professionally when Brannon pitched him this "amazing idea." He pays the bills through his engineering day job, so he spends a lot of time editing his work before he submits it.

He prefers writing sci fantasy, pulp, and hardboiled detective stories, and regularly tries to blend all his favorite genres. He bears the sometimes onerous title of "action man" or "prince of 'show don't tell'" for the group because of his love for dialogue and description as opposed to exposition. Nathan actually had to have a ghostwriter write this biography for him because there wasn't a fight scene in it.

His most ambitious endeavor thus far is PlotStorming.com. Writing is fun, but new ideas are his addiction. He has spent hours with other writers, artists, and gamers just brainstorming, and he wanted to develop a website dedicated to that. Thus he created PlotStorming.com to help bring writers and gamers together and to help nurture ideas, so that everyone can improve their craft.

How did Nathan get involved with the Wandering Men? We'll it all started on a forum when he announced he wanted to run an online PlaneScape game, and he met Brannon. A few months later he went backpacking in the Alabama wilderness with four complete strangers, and the rest is history.

And yes ladies, he is single.
