Road Musings

So here I sit in a hotel room in Houston, listing to the roar of plane engines on approach, eating middle eastern food. I wonder how it will taste tomorrow morning at 5 when I have it again for breakfast... The life of a traveling man.

I spent a day and a half in a growing small town in Texas, and really, I was enamored. The more I live, the more I grow and change, and the more I realize I'm not meant for large towns. True, the nightlife is great, the culture is diverse and rich, but there are so many people, the congestion, commute, and how often, with work and life, can you really get out to enjoy it? Some people make the effort every weekend, but that isn't me anymore. Big cities are great places to visit, but not fun to live in.

Maybe its the Wandering Man in me.
