I'm in a foreign country and it was a beautiful day outside, perfect for any adventure - wandering through forest covered hills, swimming in the ocean, exploring ancient castles, or experiencing a bustling and glittering city. But what did I do today? I took a nap and had a decent, but basically American dinner. *Sigh.*
There are miles between me and new experiences, I don't have a car, I can't rent or drive one, and the and cab fares are astronomical. Help me, I'm stranded in hometown USA in a foreign country!
I signed up for a castle tour on Sunday - it looks like one of the only chances I'll get. My feet are itching and my inner Wandering Man is screaming.
Alternatively my bacchanalian spirit is already loving it here, and it looks like I will be indulging it a lot more throughout the trip. My fellow travelers have a thing for sashimi, sake, and slender dark haired women, and here they are all in abundance! Since they have the transportation, I have to experience what I can through the reastaurants and bars. I'd love to find a happy balance, but I'm also going to take every opportunity I can, nuch to my liver's discomfot. When in Rome - as the saying goes.
