Friends, fans, and even a few shady individuals - you know who you are, Hall - have been beating on our door, begging for pictures from Omega Con. Well, we have finally overcome our personal technical difficulties, go-go gallery power, and we want to share the convention experience with you!
Our biggest con effort to date, Omegacon, is happening THIS WEEKEND in Birmingham, Alabama. You can get all the details (where, what time, how much, etc...) at this link: http://www.omegacon.us. The Wandering Men will be there in full bore and we will have A TON of stuff going on. If you don't believe me, just check out what we've got lined up, below...
The Wandering Men are packing up and heading out - towards Chattanooga, Tennessee - for Chattacon! This will be our first time attending this convention and I have to say that we're all pretty "stoked" about it!
We've got boxes FULL of our novel, Skein of Shadows, our newest edition of our Men: the Wandering cards - The Transmog Edition, big bags of candy for CROWN CRASH, another helm to raffle off, and lots of other gaming and wandering goodness in store for our fans: both old and new!
We hope to see each of you there, and you can expectourusualconventioncoverage (with pics, slideshows, podcasts, and vidcasts) upon our return!
The holidays were jam-packed with Convention-related going's and doing's for the Wandering Men! We were happy to get involved with the OmegaCon gang and honestly tried to make every promotional event they had going on! It was truly a blast and the OmegaCon Crew are an awesome bunch; the Wandering Men are REALLY looking forward to blowin' the doors off the Sheraton Birmingham at OmegaCon on March 14-17!
The OmegaCon folks were nice enough to do some podcasts and vidcasts with us, as well as take a whole load of photos, so we wanted to be sure that our fans out there were hooked into them all. Check out the links below, for not one, but TWO podcasts with the Wandering Men as well as several handfuls of pics, some (not all) of which, I've embedded below. Enjoy, and keep your eyes on the site and your RSS Readers subscribed to our feeds for all the latest and greatest news, info and updates!
WhileatConontheCob, the Wandering Men had the distinct pleasure of being interviewed on camera by the great folks at Hiett Studios. They were at the Con, taking photos and film of lots of the events and they came over and had a nice, lengthy chat with us. Sadly, the light right over our booth had gone out and so the video came out really dark (we were not actually sitting in a cave, I promise); so don't hold the darkness of the video against the great folks at Hiett Studios - Chris and Deanna are great!
You'll also note that this is the formal debut of the Wandering Men into the realm of YouTube and I hope that you'll be seeing (literally) a lot more from us there. So please subscribe, comment, rate, and share our video with all your friends - help spread the word of the Wandering Men! Now, without further ado and for your viewing pleasure, we present a video interview with the Wandering Men at Con on the Cob!
If you'd like this file at a CD-quality resolution, you can download it here. PLEASE NOTE, however, that the file is OVER 23 MEG!
The Wandering Men are very pleased to announced that we will attending the "Mini OmegaCon Gaming Kickoff" on December 29th at the Coffee Stop & Game Shop in Oneonta, Alabama! As a part of the festivities, the Wandering Men will be signing books, conducting a podcast interview with the wonderful folks from OmegaCon and gaming as much as we possibly can! Rumor has it that Wandering Man, Nathan Ellsworth will be debuting his brand-new, hand-crafted "Train Heist" Con Adventure and, as is customary for wherever the Wandering Men go, hilarity, fun and frivolity will soon follow! We look forward to seeing one and all there and would like to thank Shaun Knopf, OmegaCon President, and Alan Huskey, OmegaCon Gaming Department Head, for extending the gracious offer!
Today we sum-up our coverage of Con on the Cob and the wonderful Iron Artist Competition all at once! I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our time in Akron hanging with Andy Hopp and all of our new friends! Thanks to one and all and we're already looking forward to next year!
